Dicon constructed a second story addition containing 16 ICU beds and administrative and office areas. This project was unique in that the existing first floor clinic areas needed to remain operational throughout the construction of the second floor. Dicon worked with the VA safety staff to develop a plan that would allow the steel to be craned over this area while keeping the occupants safe. In addition, consideration was given to keeping the area dry as construction progressed during adverse weather conditions.
