Dicon recieved the contract to build a new concrete pipe and convert production facility through invitational bid. The facility is located just off Highway 75 & Wiles Road; the pre-cast and metal building will be used in an industrial application. Diamond Engineering and Architecture and Dicon worked together on the design structure of the building. The designe of the center footings, columns and beams were crucial in the project. The footings and columns had to be designed so that the 46 foot high structure could withstand the heavy winds all to commoon in the area. The columns and beams are needed to support the weight of both a 15-ton and 40-ton overhead cranes. They will be used to move and load material throughout the building.
