VA Hospital Omaha

Dicon was selected to oversee two separate projects at the VA Hospital in Omaha between 2006 and 2009. The first was a 22,800 square foot second story addition containing 16 ICU rooms and supporting administrative offices. A 3,000 square foot microbiology lab and 3-story, 1,200 square foot mechanical support terrace were next in line. This required the installation of a 12-story air supply and exhaust system, a Level 3 Bio-Safety Lab, and a PCR suite. High-level security systems and bullet-resistant walls were installed to offset the risk of terrorism.
