Planning is key to any project.  Our pre-construction services can include consulting, reviewing of existing drawings and specifications, scheduling, estimating and budget monitoring.  Fast, accurate estimates (based on even the most preliminary design information) can be accommodated. Detailed reporting and scheduling systems allow the project team to anticipate and eliminate problems before they cause delays or cost increases, to modify work assignments, if necessary, or to locate alternate material sources.

Implementation of BIM practices allow for all parties involved to determine solutions to constructability issues early in the design process.  Our BIM approach is a collaborative effort where the design envisioned by the Architect is combined with the construction knowledge of the General Contractor to produce a building that is completed faster, at a lower cost, and is visually exactly what the owner expects. BIM is not a new way to build a project, as the Dicon construction process is based on collaboration, but the implementation of new technology to provide 3D visual references to enhance the process. Results of this 3D visualization include the ability for an owner to see exactly what the finished building will look like inside and out, the interactions of all building components (clash detection), time lapse impact of construction on the surrounding areas, enhanced quantity takeoff, greater control of costs, and improved communication of the parties involved.

Making strides to maintain its status as a leader in innovation, we have implemented iPads equipped with Autodesk 360 and Bluebeam to allow for fast/efficient communication throughout our company. Since the process starts with the Pre-construction phase our Lead Estimator has achieved the Associated General Contractors Certificate of Management – Building Information Modeling. Starting all projects with our most experienced BIM professional, we are able to implement practical processes to ensure that the construction project is completed on time and under budget.
