The Whitney Inn
The original Hotel Whitney was completed in 1890 and has since undergone various renovation and addition projects. Most recently, Dicon converted the building into sixteen one-bedroom senior apartments with a diner and commercial office space on the main floor. Historic tax credits contributed to project financing, in turn requiring specific criteria be met in restoring the building’s original characteristics. The building resides on the National Register of Historic Places.
